I have spent more hours than I can count watching TV, going to comedy shows, and reading about the entertainment industry. Not because I had to. Because there is nothing else I would rather be doing.

My background and experiences have taught me to ask why, and entertainment has given me endless material to work with. Why does one episode evoke more emotion than an entire season of something else? Why does this particular show have an entire culture watching at the same time? Why does a great stand-up set feel like therapy even when it has nothing to do with your life? These are the questions I am always asking — and this is where I try to answer them.

Comedy is where this started for me, but this site is really about paying attention. There is an enormous amount worth watching and experiencing that most people never get to — and I want to change that. Whether it is a comedian you have never heard of but absolutely should, a show the whole culture is watching for a reason, or a story that will genuinely make you think — I want to be the reason you do not miss it.

This isn't a recap site. It's an informed, opinionated guide to everything worth paying attention to in entertainment — television, stand-up, podcasts, memoirs, industry moves, and the cultural moments that connect us all. There is always more going on beneath the surface, and always a reason you should be paying attention. This is where we get into it.
